住宅雨水管理指南

描述：

人们在房屋内外所做的事情会影响雨水径流以及附近河流、湖泊和池塘的水质。在普罗维登斯雨水创新中心举办的本次培训中，居民将学习如何打造有利于雨水管理的景观和园艺，以及如何将自家院子打造成一个小型生态系统。您在房屋内外使用的化学品和杀虫剂不仅会损害您家植物和栖息地，还会影响下游水质。本次培训还将提供有关如何设计、确定尺寸、建造和维护住宅雨水花园和雨水桶的信息。雨水花园的选址评估、土壤分析、植物选择和安全措施都是建造雨水花园时需要考虑的关键因素。

  • Amelia has also worked for the Unitarian Universalist Association, Washington Interfaith Network, and Toxics Action Center

  • She has a B.A. in Anthropology from Mary Washington College

  • Responsible for planting and maintaining green stormwater installations within the Woonasquatucket River Watershed

  • Serves as a co-leader for WRWC’s Urban Community Fish Monitoring Project- a study that gathers data on fish populations and assesses water quality in local watersheds

  • Currently attending school for environmental studies
