About the Event
Our first volunteer cyanobacteria monitoring day will be Friday August 28th at 9:00 am. Â We monitoring potential cyanobacteria blooms using BloomWatch and the Cyanoscope. Â We have also acquired kits to collect samples that will be analyzed by EPA for harmful toxins in the water. Â We will meet at the Seal House in Roger Williams Park, then collect samples at Roosevelt Lake, Polo Lake, and Pleasure Lake. Â Scientists from The Nature Conservancy and JWU will lead the sampling event and provide training on the sample collection and data upload process. Â If you have questions, please contact Ryan Kopp at rkopp@asri.org
