About the Event
Our second volunteer cyanobacteria monitoring day will be Monday September 7th at 5:30 pm. We will be monitoring potential cyanobacteria blooms using BloomWatch and the Cyanoscope. We have also acquired kits to collect samples that will be analyzed by EPA for harmful toxins in the water. We will meet at the Seal House in Roger Williams Park, then collect samples at various pond locations around the park. Scientists from The Nature Conservancy and JWU will lead the sampling event and provide training on the sample collection, identification and data upload process. If you have questions, please contact Ryan Kopp at rkopp@asri.org
