About the Event
Our next volunteer cyanobacteria monitoring day will be Monday September 22nd at 5:00 pm. Â We will be monitoring potential cyanobacteria blooms using BloomWatch and the Cyanoscope. Â We have also acquired kits to collect samples that will be analyzed by EPA for harmful toxins in the water. Â We will meet at the Seal House in Roger Williams Park, then collect samples at various pond locations around the park. Â Scientists from The Nature Conservancy and JWU will lead the sampling event and provide training on the sample collection, identification and data upload process. Â If you have questions, please contact Ryan Kopp at rkopp@asri.org
